Cantabile Welcomes New Members!
Cantabile Chamber Choir is excited to welcome five new members, increasing the ensemble to 24 singers! (Membership in Cantabile is by audition.) Music for the winter 2019 concerts, Carols By Candlelight, has been selected. Cantabile began rehearsals Monday, September 9, at 6:30 PM at Bethany Covenant Church in Mount Vernon. Concerts are scheduled for December 6 at Depot Arts Center, Anacortes; December 7 at Tidelands Church, Stanwood; and December 8 at St. Paul’s Episcopal, Mount Vernon. Advance tickets will be available at www.brownpapertickets.com: $18 general admission; $16 seniors/military/students. Tickets will be available at the door: $20 general; $18 seniors/military/students.
Cantabile Chamber Choir Auditions Open for Spring 2019
Cantabile Chamber Choir has a few openings beginning with its 2019 Spring term. Auditions will be availble from January 7 through February 11, 2019. The choir consists of adult vocalists with passion for creating beautiful choral music in a high-caliber chamber choir. Cantabile performs in Skagit and Snohomish counties. The ensemble is conducted by Dustin Willetts, Artistic Director. Rehearsals are at Bethany Covenant Church in Mt. Vernon, WA, Monday evenings from 6:30-9:00 PM. The Spring term will begin with the January 28 rehearsal through concerts on May 3, 4, and 5.
Singers pay dues of $90/semester plus the cost of the music.

Winter Aglow: Celebrating Nature's Light
The theme of Cantabile’s Winter 2018 concerts is “Winter Aglow!” The concerts feature music celebrating the special qualities of nature’s light in wintertime. Musical selections will highlight the shimmering colors of the Northern lights, the mystery of moonlight, the glow of starlight, Winter solstice festivals, Chanukah, and Christmas.
